Knowing Your Brain State
Work stress can cause emotional overload or shut down, and knowing your brain state can give you insight about how to manage that stress more effectively and to stop judging yourself. Given the stresses of the workplace, having emotional brain literacy is essential to support productivity and health.
The Basics
Work stress includes job loss, excessive work hours, impossible work demands and job insecurity. Work is tied to our identity, our passions and our economic survival, and can cause such intense stress that a cascade of health, relationship and mood problems ensue.
The EBT Approach
Although nobody wants to shoulder work stresses, times of transition and overload are moments of opportunity for using EBT. This stress is can be so intense that it activates the most primitive circuits in the brain, making them plastic and open to change.
Just at a time when our personal growth in how we respond to life, the ways we reward ourselves and our most fundamental expectations of life require shifting, the brain is more open to transformation.
The approach is to access external help for job planning and landing a job or negotiating other work changes, and to use EBT as a pathway to coping with stress effectively, and making decisions about the next step in your work life..
Getting Started
Take our EBT Basics: Wired for Joy Course. You'll begin to think in terms of brain states, and wires, and learn how to switch your brain from any level of stress back to joy. Continue with the advanced courses until you have what you most want from this training. The rewards of a brain in balance are: sanctuary, authenticity, vibrancy, integrity, intimacy, spirituality and freedom.
Choose the reward that matters most to you, and then move through the EBT courses until you have an abundance of it, and you are wired for joy.
